Virtual Bike Rodeo

Virtual Bike Rodeo

October 5, 2020 – October 17, 2020 all-day

Third grade families (and 4th and 5th grade families new to D181), take part in this year’s virtual Bike Rodeo!  There will (of course) be no in-person bike rodeo this year.  Instead, the Hinsdale Police Department has prepared a virtual alternative to teach bike safety and receive a Hinsdale bike “license” (for Hinsdale residents).  The goals of the Bike Rodeo are 1) to ensure that students fully understand and practice bike safety before riding their bikes to school; and 2) to register bicycles in Hinsdale PD’s database to aid in returning lost or stolen bikes to their owners.

Below are links to the virtual Bike Rodeo documents.  Read Officer Kowal’s letter first for guidance.  Once you have completed them, click HERE to sign up for a time slot to bring your student’s bike (and yours, if you want to register it) to Hinsdale PD to receive your “license.”  Time slots will start October 5 and end October 17.
