Message from the Principal
Dear Lane Families,
It has been another busy week at The Lane. Thank you to all of the families who attended Curriculum Night on Wednesday. The staff enjoyed the opportunity to share how all of the great work that was done over the summer will help our students to learn and grow this year. We are grateful for the community support, and the students certainly benefit from parents and staff working together as a cohesive team.
Students also participated in several practice safety drills this week during our annual Safety Week. The drills that were practiced included two fire drills, a severe weather drill, and a lockdown drill. We were all impressed with how well all of our students followed directions and stayed with their classes as we conducted these important procedures. We are appreciative of the efforts of Assistant Chief Tim McElroy of the Hinsdale Fire Department and D.A.R.E/Juvenile Officer Mike Coughlin of the Hinsdale Police Department, who helped to supervise the drills and monitor any areas for potential improvement.
We hope you have a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend. We will see you on Tuesday!
Regards,
Mr. Todd
