Message from the Principal
Dear Lane Families,
I want to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year here at The Lane. We are excited to see all of the smiling faces of our students and families on August 22nd as we embark on our educational journey together as The Lane Family. And that is exactly what we are at The Lane. We are a family made up of caring educators, supportive parents, and most importantly, eager and enthusiastic students.
With a new year comes new faces. It is my pleasure to introduce four new staff members to The Lane:
Ms. Kelly Pelak will teach 5th grade. She comes to us from Hinsdale Middle School where she worked as an 8th grade Science teacher.
Mr. Eric Lampe will teach 5th grade as well. He comes to us from St. Louis where he taught 6th grade ELA.
Mrs. Michelle Selby will serve as a Math Specialist this year. She has worked in District 181 across various grade levels at several schools as a Math Specialist.
Mrs. Bianca Aagaard will serve as a Math Specialist as well. She comes to The Lane with experience teaching high levels of math to various ages of students.
Please join me in welcoming them to The Lane Family!
On the first day of school, each family will be given a car rider card with their last name on it. This will be displayed in your car window to make the dismissal process more efficient. Please feel free to use those on a regular basis as it allows us to be on the look out for your child so we can get him or her loaded and reduce the amount of time parents have to spend in the car rider line. The best place to display the card is in the passenger side window so that the supervisors can clearly see the name. Additional cards may be purchased in the office for $2.00.
I look forward to meeting you all and seeing your smiling faces on Tuesday as we kick off another great year at The Lane!
Regards,
Mr. Todd
A special note from Mr. Ozga:
